Steven Monroe Andrew Young, Jr., 77, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Private family services have been held.
Steven was born on March 17, 1944 in Bakersfield, CA to Steven and Norma Jean Young, Sr. He grew up and attended schools in Ceres, CA. He then went to work as a long haul truck driver for his father.
Steven married Laurel Hanson on March 19, 1971 in Reno, NV. They made their home in Ceres and he continued driving. They moved to Sagle, ID in 2001.
Steven loved the Lord, his wife, his family and visiting with everyone in the Sandpoint area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time at the ocean.
He is survived by his wife Laurel Young of Sagle, ID; four sons Michael (Susan) Dodge of Sagle, Idaho, Steven (Melissa) Young of Emmett, Idaho, Patrick (Debbie) Dodge of Sagle, Idaho, Montie (Tracy) Young of Sagle, Idaho; three daughters Lorie (Bruce) Ghiselline of Sandpoint, Idaho, Sheri’ (Tom) Bond of Livermore, California, Angeline (Dereck) Kirk of Hayden, Idaho; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother Jessie and two sisters Patsy and Barbara both from California.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Shirley.
