We live in northern Minnesota. Verna and Dale and the family lived only a couple miles north of us. We were young when we married and moved here. She was such a warm welcoming neighbor!! We remained friends throughout. She would also visit us at our home and also at our church, when she come back to Minnesota. How I loved her!! Such a sweet, kind, loving lady!! She was a treasure!! May she rest in Eternal Peace, Oh Lord. God Bless all her family. Sincerely, Roger & RaeAnn Pittman Goodridge, Minnesota

A wonderful one of a kind AUNT! Compassionate, loving, kindhearted, hard working, generous, had a great sense of humor & always trying to "bring people together." Our Aunt Verna will be fondly remembered, sadly missed. She always made a point of connecting with nieces & nephews at least once a year at Christmas, by letter and/or phone call. She was a friend to many, and she Loved the Lord, it showed in her smile, her generosity & all she did in life. I\'m glad she is with Uncle Dale, he is missed also. God bless her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren and the awesome memories of who she was, and the wonderful example she set for them! She is a shining star in Heaven!

Whenever we would go to see Aunt Verna and Uncle Dale it was always a warm, loving visit. Verna would stop working outside and make a meal and Dale would come in at his usual time, eat, watch the news and have ice cream. We, of course, always loved when she brought out that huge brown cardboard container of vanilla ice cream! It was fun to be on the farm which was so different from our small town life. Those horses were so huge you had to climb on the truck just to get on one. At least that is how I remember them. She was a wonderful, loving and truly kind aunt, sister to my mother Jane and friend to everyone. She will be missed GREATLY!

So loved by many. A dedicated BGH volunteer for over 20 years and a true friend. I will miss her so much but rely on great memories we made. Rest in peace and know you will always be in my heart and thought of often. My condolences to all her family . Find peace and comfort knowing others feel your loss.
