A finer man I have never known. It is with heavy heart I remember La Von. He was the best. Kind and cordial, with a great smile and always a helping hand. I will miss him form afar. My love to Patsy and the family. Scott Hancock, Blackfoot, Id.

Patsy and family, Our sympathy to you on Lavon's passing. He was a fine and talented man who, in my eyes, always did the right thing. He was special to my parents. Betty always raved about his singing and appreciated both of your support during her final years. Love Shannon and Duane Abromeit

I have so many memories of Uncle Lavon that I don't know where to begin. I remember him always at church as a child and an adult. I remember youth group and Bible studies at his house. I remember camping in the remote backwoods of Idaho and Canada as a kid. I remember his love of music and that wonderful voice lifted in praise to Jesus. I will treasure the thought of him singing "The Hole in the Bottom of the Sea". I remember his love of ice cream, pie, Aunt Patsy, and Jesus. Not remotely in that order! One of the things I loved about him was his sense of humor and that great robust laugh. I will never forget the great debate of "Did Adam have a belly button?" He was always willing to pray for me and my family. He often kept praying long after I had given up. How do you pay tribute to a man that had such a huge impact in your life that he influenced your eternal destination? Uncle Lavon, you will be greatly missed but I know you would be the first to tell me that those who know Jesus don't say "Goodbye" they say "See you later"! I look forward to the day when we are all together again! Until then I will cherish the memories and think of you safe in the arms of Jesus!
