Jo and I have lost a special friend. Gary was a great pilot, we flew together in the Air Force, shared several special hunting trips in Alaska, and fished some of the best streams in the world. We played together with our sons on snow mobiles and shared great times as families with Velma, Jo and the kids. The Country lost a good American. We all will miss Gary--God Speed..

I have lost a very special friend in Gary. I was lucky to know him and have him as a close friend since our days at Hill AFB teaching fixed wingers how to fly a helicopter. We fished, camped, raised our kids and had great times together. Only Velma out of the group had a hole in one playing golf. Gary, I will miss you and Velma, you know if you need anything you know where we are. My love, Travis

We extend our sympathy, Velma. Gary was a respected, appreciated colleague at Southside Water & Sewer who did much for our Sagle community. Always enjoyed seeing you & Gary walking the Fry Creek backroads.

I was so saddened to read of Gary's recent passing. I didn't know he was ill and think of him as such a vibrant, witty, cordial person enjoying the ski slopes. He and Velma were wonderful hosts for many fun staff parties at their home. Velma, my heart goes out to you and to your family. So much love to you. Jan Waldrup
