Clay loved to help others and pass on the knowledge he learned the hard way, from the school of hard knocks particularly with children. He was a hard worker and a smart worker and a self made man. He had a cheerful disposition even when something went wrong with the project he was working on. He loved the satisfaction that came from a job well done and a good days work. He loved his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Rest in peace until we meet again Clay.

When I was young he seemed so tall and strong. I loved being around him and we had some good times together. He was sassy, had a fun smile, and passed his strength to his granddaughter and great-grandkids. I see him in them quite frequently. Grandpa loved family. When I’m sad over his passing I remember that Jesus missed him and blessed him with no more suffering. We love you Grandpa and you’re truly missed.

Clay was a good man, always cheerful and earnest. I loved seeing him and his "hot rod" at church. May I be as faithful as you, good brother, until we meet again.

Clay was a wonderfully friendly and outgoing man of God - I'll always remember the many times he would greet me and shake my hand as I attended church services at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Clark Fork... I look forward to the day that we meet again. Always a brother in Christ, Glen Bailey
