Charles (Bud) Sinclair Jr., 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
He was born June 10, 1946 in Washington D.C. to Charles and Joann Sinclair. Raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and graduated from Washington Senior High. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged. He lived the remainder of his life in the Northwest. At age 21, he raced his first super modified at Huset’s Speedway the premier oval dirt track of the Midwest in Sioux Falls, SD. Fulfilling a childhood dream where he won his first race.
In 1984 Bud accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He met the love of his life Joy Ross and they were married April 14, 1989. Bud and Joy shared a deep love and passion for Jesus and this is what drew them together. They loved to tell others about Jesus, hoping they too would accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Bud cherished Joy and loved her until his last breath.
Bud has three step children that he loved as his own John, Jodae, and Jeremy. Jesse Martin became part of the family in August of 1993 and Bud became “Papa Bud”. Bud has six grandchildren twin girls Xortia and Ashail Ross, Marissa, Mateja, Demetrius, and Zion Ribeiro. Becoming a “Papa” the title his granddaughter Marissa lovingly bestowed upon him, was a highlight of his life. He enjoyed taking the grandchildren on outings, teaching them projects at Home Depot, going on dates with the girls and dude time with the boys.
Bud is survived by his wife Joy, Son John (Misty) Ross of Reno, NV, daughter Jodae (Al) Ribeiro of Sandpoint, ID, and son Jeremy (Sarah) Ross of Tacoma, WA. His brother John Carmen and sister Cheryl Bruggaman, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is proceeded in death by his siblings, Linda (Big Sis) and Mark.
There will be a viewing at 9:00 A.M. and funeral service August 14, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at New Life Church, Sandpoint, ID with Pastor Tim Yetter officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, ID immediately following the funeral service.
