To the family: my son Evan was 25 when he took his own life three years ago, At the time, even in the shock and disbelief that this had happened, I had a very strong sense that his death was a result of what I can only call demonic activity. He was goaded and pushed into it by some outside force. He was just such a good guy: big-hearted, very outgoing and friendly, smart and hilarious. Just the day he died (Father's Day 2018), I received a very loving text from him, with no indication that anything was wrong. The struggle with evil in this world is real - it's a war - and the casualties of that war are real as well. I wish I could offer you comfort. CS Lewis said that the death of a beloved is not a wound that heals, but an amputation. You hobble around as best you can for the rest of your life, never the same as before. So I can\\\'t give you a way to peace or hope for healing, at least not at this point in my own journey, but I will pray for you.

God bless the family. So tragic, and yet, may they see him again one day.
